What an amazing show. Not as dramatic as Othello - this one is played strictly for laughs. I found it more entertaining than Christmas Carol. Q Gents does have the feel of a work still in progress - but has some incredible fun and very very meta pieces. The theatre is small and outdoors so not a bad seat! And you have to watch the DJ on the second level during dance moments. It was also great because my daughter is interning at Oak Park Festival who are right now doing Two Gentlemen of Verona in a 1980s John Hughes setting. Q Gents is set in a high shool - sort of modern, but lots of 80s and 90s and 00s cultural references. She got a lot more out of it than I did. As usual, the owrd play is fast and furious and we are planning on going back just to catch all that we are certain we missed.
