Box Office Staff Employment Question!

Hi,

I was curious if Box Office staff are able to find jobs in other unnion theaters, or does each staff member pretty specific with each theater?

Example:

Say a BO staff member is working a show at THE PALACE and say the shows closes...does that staff member have to wait until another show comes in to get their job back or can they go to another theater and work... or both?

They can "sub" at other houses when they need additional people

Correct me if I'm wrong (don't know too much about this), but if they are part of a union, aren't they eligible to work at any theater within that union?

Box Office Staff are unionized usually part of the local 751 which is the ticket sellers union.
The Shuberts & Jujamcyn use the STAR system(Telecharge)
So Ie: If a show in a Shubert house closes, they can go to another Shubert house while there "home" is dark. If they wanted to switch companies (IE: Go from a Shubert to Jujamcyn house, they would need to interview with the organization).

Nederlander houses do not use the Star system since they sell there tickets via ticketmaster
