Thursday, November 22
WATCH? The 86th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will, as per usual, be chock-full of Broadway talent! Shows expected to perform during the NBC live broadcast include Annie, Bring It On, Elf, Nice Work If You Can Get It and the upcoming Cinderella. If you're in New York, you can watch the parade live and in person as the procession goes from 77th Street and Central Park West down Sixth Avenue to Macy's Herald Square on 34th Street. (9 AM-noon, NBC. Info.)

That's from playbill.com

That's an underwhelming lineup. Cinderella is the only one that interests me at all.

Where can one stand to see the performances that are ON the parade broadcast, like the ones that perform in front of Macy's.

BRING IT ON is a natural fit for this parade, no?

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and guess, in front of Macy's?

The CBS broadcast will have performances from Newsies and Once, according to playbill. I think this are pre-recorded.

Newsies and Elf both performed last year, but oh well. It is always my favorite part of the parade. Would have loved to see something from Christmas Story.
