Does anyone know anything about a new tour of Titanic? It's apparently playing the Delray Beach Center for the Arts in November, and its description says it's "A BRAND NEW, national tour revival honoring the 100th anniversary of the ill-fated journey."
I'm curious too, especially since this stage is pretty small. I'm guessing, based on the description of "High-tech imagery", that it's going to use projections?
I never saw the show, but I heard the sinking of the ship was impressively staged. I wish I could see that. If this tour does the sinking and the show well, I'd be interested in seeing it.
Not to be too harsh, but Windwood is basically a second-tier non-Equity touring company. I would not expect a grand physical production or a great sinking effect. They are in and out in one day, and, especially towards the end of the tour, you are going to see a lot of exhausted cast members who can sometimes go three or four weeks without a true day off.
