"It seems like she is getting back into acting on a large scale now, having done two Canadian television series in the last three years (her first film/TV work since the mid-1990s) as well as Martha on stage. I think British Columbia is her home base now. The thought of her performing Dr. Livingstone onstage is really exciting, even though there's pretty much no chance I'd be able to see it! "

She's living on one of the Gulf Islands off here, Vancouver Island, though she has a house in Victoria. When she played Martha, she talked a lot in interviews about why she dropped acting for such a while--while she had success writing kid's books, and raising a family, the implication also was that she was dealing with some long repressed childhood issues of abuse (something I believe one of her books deals with). She filmed the decent, Canadian wartime TV show drama Bomb Girls shortly afterwards.

Here is a great little clip of the Great Christopher Plummer talking about his relationship with his daughter and a little bit about her performance in Agnes of God.

Agnes of God

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter
