I actually like Gary Barlow's music. I think he is possibly one of the only artists in popular music who writes proper songs with proper lyrics and a proper tune, instead of the noise and dance beats that seem to pass for music nowadays. I think songs such as "The Flood" are in fact great story songs and would actually like for him to write an original musical to see what it's like.
I also love Lloyd Webber's shows and music (with the exceptions of "Cats", "Starlight Express", "Aspects of Love" and his extra songs to "The Wizard of Oz") so I'm obviously looking forward to this. Saying that, I thought his recent Eurovision entry was awful - extremely dull and repetitive, so who knows? The title "Sing" doesn't really inspire much confidence.
"Decca Records today announced "Sing", the Official Diamond Jubilee song co-written by Gary Barlow and Andrew Lloyd Webber, two of the UK’s greatest living songwriters. Check out the offical music video below, featuring Gary Barlow as well as Gareth Malone and the Military Wives Choir, the African Children's Choir, and Prince Harry on tamborine, making his recording debut."
I would never condemn something as "S**t" without hearing it. So I just listened to the song. And, it's "s**t"! lol
