Sadly enough, they never recorded it. It's unfortunate because there was some beautiful music in that show.
"You! You are the worst thing to happen to musical theatre since Andrew Lloyd Webber! And you, well, I just plain don't like you."
~Stewart Gilligan Griffin
No, they never made a recording of the show. I'm not sure whether it was because they couldn't find the money or Walken didn't want to do a recording.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner (who you surely know were in the show) recorded the song "Ballyhannon" on their Unsuspecting Hearts CD. It was a song sung by Blair Brown and Christopher at the end of the first act, if I'm not mistaken... It's soo late and I really don't want to get my Playbill out. (sorry)! -david.
"Ballyshannon" is actually on Emily Skinner's solo CD, albeit it is recorded as a duet with her and Alice Ripley. There really wasn't a second act to that show as there was no intermission, but it was sung within the first half-hour.... Still in the parlour scene.
Thank you Vicious... I will now check things before speaking prematurely... I feel like a turd... I appreciate your help!!! Next time, no more 3am posts!
