Anyone hear anything about what shows are coming to the Music Hall next year? I heard that they're planning to announce the season line-up some time this month but I'm excited and dying to know!

I haven't heard anything about the upcoming season. However, since DSM was an investor in 9 to 5 my guess is the tour will be part of the 2011 season.

Overall, I think this is a fairly weak season if this is the complete season. For the past couple of years they have had a Majestic Series and Music Hall Series. All seven of these shows are at Music Hall and two of them are only booked for 1 week so I'm sure they will be available as add-ons.

I expected 9 to 5 but I had expected it as the State Fair show and West Side Story will be taking that slot. I enjoyed the tour of Burn the Floor the last time it was in Dallas and I'm sure it's probably changed so I'm looking forward to that, as well.

When will "In the Heights" ever come to Dallas?

So is there a Guys and Dolls tour actually being put together? I thought that dream died. I have to say I'm not too thrilled. I'm only interested in 9 to 5 and West Side Story. :/

The only word that comes to mind for that season is pathetic. It seems to me that the Lexus series will be getting the good tours from now on.

There is a GUYS AND DOLLS tour going out through Big League Theatricals (and yes, it's Equity, according to their site).

Has DSM made any official announcements about the season? So far it's just listed on their website as a preview so I don't know if the seven shows comprise the whole season.

Ew, that is a pretty horrible season...

Apparently it shouldn't be too hard for the music hall to get good tours--tours will probably want to go where they can sell more tickets and make more money and the music hall (even thought it's not nearly as nice) has way more tickets that can be sold.

True, but I think that Nederlander org is in charge of the Lexus Broadway series which means they probably have first dibs on touring venues for the shows that they are involved with. I got the email and wasn't too impressed. Curious to see what Lexus will get. :)

So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?
