Hi all - I'm planning a trip to see ANNIE GET YOUR GUN at Goodspeed in CT. I've never been before and need some help with choosing seats in the venue.

What would you say the "best" seats are in the house? By best I mean that which allows you to see the entire scope of the production as well as expressions and detail.

How high is the stage? Does anyone know or remember if the first row is a little distanced from the orchestra pit or stage? I'm on the shorter side and wouldn't want to miss anything because I sat too close in the orchestra and the stage is high. Also, I'm wondering if there is a decent-sized aisle, versus the leg room being crammed right against the stage.

Is the orchestra section of seats sloped/raked at all? I called the box office and the person there said that the main section of the orchestra is not sloped at all and that the only ones that are like that are the last few rows.

Finally, is the stage particularly wide? I don't mind sitting off center and would consider sitting in the side section but only if the stage isn't too wide.

Thanks for all your help! I really appreciate it!!

Don't fret. None of your questions matter. The stage at Goodspeed isn't high and the proscenium is just under 18 ft tall and 30 ft wide with a small house, so anywhere you sit should be fine based on the criteria you laid out.

The orchestra is kind of in your lap in the front row, and I've been told that there is occasionally a sightline problem with them in the very front row.

No rake to the house, but it is a very small theatre, a little less than 400 seats.
