I read that blog and I feel like I read nothing

I'm sure this producer loves having to babysit his casting director.

And wow, she's dense. What is there to "understand" about this? You typed things because you thought you were being cute, people got pissed. What about this involves understanding how Twitter works? And I love how she thinks that people who are upset didn't read her comments. If she acknowledges that people were upset about her tone, how does that mean they weren't reading the page? That's why people were mad. Because they read it. What a dumbass excuse.

She needs to grow up and take responsibility for her mistake rather than being so self-righteous and free of remorse. And if she doesn't, then I hope this is a black stamp on her company, and that people think twice about hiring her in the future.

What producer would ever hire her again after this?

That's not really a shock. I thought all along that she'd be there.

Yeah, she will, but the producer/director will be there. Sooo obviously he doesn't entirely trust her.

This is NOT going to bode well for her AT ALL in the future. Having the producer conduct a second round of auditions with him present is a slap in the face to Eisenberg. If she would sincerely apologize and show change in her actions (IE not tweeting) then I can see this blowing over over time (and for her sake save her own company), but if she chooses to go about it as unprofessionally as she has shown herself to be and NOT take responsibility for her actions, then it's only going to get worse. Oy, it kills me to see someone dig their own grave deeper, and deeper, and deeper, and deeper...

I found out a friend of mine was the object of one of her tweets, fortunately one of the positive ones. So now she (jokingly) fully expects a callback.

Also, there was talk around the equity lounge that Equity is looking into getting her CSA status revoked.

Just checked Ms. Eisenbeg's Twitter and she obviously doesn't get it. She states that her NYMF show is holding a 2nd round of auditions 'just for fun'. Her glib remarks just show how much she doesn't care about her actions or how those actions affect other people. I'm sure the producer is thrilled to have to spend more money and take time out of his day because of an immature and unprofessional casting 'director' (and I use that term loosely) and her complete lack of forethought for her actions.

She's behaving like a bratty child who got in trouble and tries to laugh it off. Karma's a kick in the pants sometimes.

Her comment of "only non-tweeters need apply" is just showing more snark.

Actually, DE reposted from the Gay Bride of Frankenstein's Twitter, who mentioned doing it "just for fun" and "only non-tweeters need apply." I don't know who controls the show's Twitter account. I don't think she does if DE is the casting director, but if she did...heaven help her.

Guys -- learn what a Retweet is:

"DECasting See you there! RT @GayBrideOfFrankenstein Added EPAs on Monday 8/17 at AEA just for fun (only non-tweeters need apply.) 9:30am!"

@GayBrideOfFrankenstein made the announcement, not DECasting.

This is what people mean that you guys don't understand Twitter, or how it works.

I understood. Still doesn't justify the entire situation.

Doesn't take a Twitter genius to read some of those unnecessary statements (bleeding ears, tweeting about those that upset her).

I am curious, if some of these comments were going on for a while, why is this a "hot topic" now? Did a random follower report something?

"millie, I think it has to do with a thread surpassing a certain number of replies."

What I mean is, if this tweeting has been going on for a while, why is this an issue now and not back in June? What took so long for someone to come forth and say something? I am curious as to what comment actually prompted someone to come forth to say something.

Not that we'll probably ever know, but just something I thought about.

"Freedom of speech people. Being a moron isn't a crime."

That doesn't mean there are standards of how should carry yourself in a professional setting. When you market your company Twitter account to be a helpful tool for performers, you don't ridicule them on it. Sure, she had a legal right to Twitter and write what she did, but she did so at the risk of losing trust in those auditioning for her. She could've made similar tweets in a private account or journal. Better yet, she could have kept some of the statements to herself. She chose to write what she did on a public forum. Contrary to what she thinks, people are able to recognize who they are if they come across her account.

Apparently for those who think I was defending Miss Eisenberg...the statement where I wasn't being sarcastic was the one in which I called her a moron.
