I'm not as subtle as Al, so I'll say it, the workshop cast makes NO sense in context of the book OR movie. I will also agree the music didn't blow me away and the book(to the musical) was no where NEAR as witty as even the movie. Why this musical and how does Walter Bobbie fit with the rest of that list? I'm sure there are huge Bobbie fans on this board but be honest, does this seem like a show that "screams" his name?

I really hope it turns out to be good. I've never seen the movie, but I just read the book last month and it's fabulous. It's got potential to be a great show, kind of in the same mindset as L5Y... how much do shows usually change from workshops to premiere?

LOL Qman!!! I didn't think the answer would be that simple! You never know...it may come around. SF has been getting quite a few surprises lately, and I'm glad to get a chance to see the shows in their early stages.
