Oh, he won Best Director for The Book of Mormon, and he's also nominated again this year for choreographing Aladdin.

I would guess that since she doesn't have a stranglehold on the rights like she does with Peter Pan they chose to do the show and then approached her, or she approached them when hearing they had planned it as part of their season.
