That's the impression I was under. But according to that link, the production that's building its set and teching at the Shubert New Haven in May is the First National Tour. Maybe the meant Second, i dont know.

The main page has updated the blurb about the performances to say "the NEW national tour", so maybe they've realized their mistake. I'm guessing this the production that will take over in San Francisco after the current tour leaves there.

According to what's floating around the internet, that's the plan. The 2nd tour is supposed to start in SF in May, probably after May 20th. That's the latest date in SF tickets are being sold. And those technical rehersals are just a week before then.

To all who are going to the Tech Rehearsals for the 1NT of JB....please tell us how the experience is and give us a "review' :P

I read somewhere that the singers will be performing with their street clothes...so don't expect anything fancy but it will definitely be a treat to see it "behind the scene".

John Fisher, Executive Director of the Shubert Theater, is delighted to announce that the producers of JERSEY BOYS, the hottest show currently running on Broadway, have selected New Haven's historic Shubert Theater as the site for the build of JERSEY BOYS' first national tour. The theater will be utilized from April 16 through May 17 to construct the sets and rehearse the cast, and will include two public technical run-throughs. Fisher commented, "We are delighted to offer our ticket buyers the exclusive opportunity to experience JERSEY BOYS in Connecticut before it begins its national tour. Audience members will have the rare chance to witness the technical run through of this new national tour as it comes to life on the legendary Shubert stage where so many of Broadway's most memorable shows were born."

I am trying to figure out what they are trying to say.

The cast that is going to New Haven as already been doing the show for 5 months.
