Recent stage door experiences at Enemy of the People?  May 3 2024, 03:46:43 PM

I walked by last week after the Sat matinee and caught a peek of Jeremy, not sure if he usually does but he did that time.

Hoping and praying Stereophonic ends up performing Masquerade!

AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE -- Standing Room Line Question  Apr 30 2024, 11:45:28 AM

I went to the BO this Sunday about 20 min before it opened. I was about 6th in line, with a few people behind me. They only had one pair of SRO available.

Well, the defense seems to be "Removing everything deeply relevant to the world and time we are living in, everything meaningful or creatively exciting from one of the greatest and most widely-read American novels ever and treating the audience like absolute idiots, is just supposed to be FUN. Why can't something just be FUN?" Because terrible, cynically assembled musicals a

ILLINOISE Reviews  Apr 25 2024, 11:08:52 PM

Jordan Catalano said: "I am NOT a fan of modern dance. It's just not my jam. I can appreciate it for what it is but it's not something I've ever been able to get into. So going into this tonight I was happy it was only 90 mins - in and out and then I'll have seen everything this season. As we stood up, my friend asked if I was ok. I guess I had been audibly sobbing, my face totally wet. I haven't been moved by something to this degree in quite a while. And like I

Jordan Catalano said: "I went to the matinee today and noticed Jeremy seems to be doing an accent now? But not a consistent one and it’s kind of odd. British one minute, then something else then nothing. I don’t think I’d ever noticed him doing anything like that before in the show."

Oh god...If I see this am I going to get flashbacks to Colton Ryan in "NYNY"? Because I can't handle that again.

Jordan Catalano said: "I went last night and while I liked it well enough, my friend absolutely loved it. So I wasn’t sure what reviews would look like.
I did kind of stop for a second whilewatching Carell and Harper, stars of two do the greatest tv shows of all time on stage together and just took a second to recognize how damn cool that was.

Totally agree - I'd never seen the show before and thought it was great in terms of the play itself and perfo

OH MARY! Officially Transferring to Lyceum Theatre this Summer - 12 Weeks  Apr 24 2024, 01:48:02 PM

SO EXCITED!! I caught this back in Feb and was hoping it would extend or transfer so I could see it again - Looks like I'll be making another trip this summer.

UNCLE VANYA Previews  Apr 20 2024, 07:19:01 PM

Was on the fence about seeing this one on my trip next week, but was able to snag LincTix for opening night - Super excited, I've never been to an opening night before!

STEREOPHONIC Opening Night Critics’ Reviews  Apr 19 2024, 12:37:56 PM

Looking forward to seeing these reviews - I'm coming into town next week but only have time for 4 shows and have been agonizing... from what I've seen on here I may have to make this a priority.

Funniest/Funnest Broadway (or Off) Musical Right Now?  Mar 27 2024, 12:01:34 PM

ardiem said: "Oh, Mary! comes to mind but will probably be difficult to rush for and isn't a musical. In terms of what you can find on TKTS today, I'd recommend Dead Outlaw."

IMO Oh, Mary! is one of the funniest shows I've seen in years, and I'm usually a much bigger fan of musicals than plays. But you're right, it will not be easy to rush. Either way, I suggest OP not miss this one.

Future of the Museum of Broadway  Feb 28 2024, 04:00:53 PM

Scarywarhol said: "Its is more akin to the Times Square tourist trap model of Madame Tussaud's or Spyscape than actual New York museums showcasing art and knowledge, and this is what's such a bummer. Even or especially if it closes fast, how long does this delay our ever getting a real performing arts museum? So many dreams of what that could look like. For now, folks who want that are better off going to the Lincoln Center library when they have an exhibit on."

Michael R. Jackson & Anna K. Jacobs' TEETH Musical at Playwrights Horizons (Winter 2024)  Feb 25 2024, 12:37:21 AM

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it! A fun time, and while I do agree that it's a bit long for a no-intermission show, I do have to say it created one of the funniest moments of the show. After

DOUBT 2024 Previews  Feb 23 2024, 03:04:50 PM

Saw this a few nights ago and really enjoyed it - though, as others have said, I think this was mostly because of the play itself rather than this production. All the acting was great, and I did love watching that stage and set design.

Cole Escola is Mary Todd Lincoln in OH, MARY! Off-Broadway  Feb 22 2024, 10:45:43 PM

Wow, that was amazing!!

80 minutes of non-stop hilarity - a great mix of stupid sexual jokes and genuine funny camp, one of my favorite shows I've seen in a long time. So glad I was able to catch this, hope I'll be able to see it again one day.

That being said, the seating in this theater is ATROCIOUS. I know it's been said on here, but I was in the back orchestra and could literally see everyone in the theater moving their heads constantly trying to see around

Michael R. Jackson & Anna K. Jacobs' TEETH Musical at Playwrights Horizons (Winter 2024)  Feb 22 2024, 03:27:09 PM

Jordan Catalano said: "Well you better decide soon. According to their website there are two single tickets left (one each for two different dates) for the entire run."

Could be wrong, but I thought they set aside a certain number of seats for rush?

Cole Escola is Mary Todd Lincoln in OH, MARY! Off-Broadway  Feb 21 2024, 01:41:23 PM

A little sad I bought $200 rear side orchestra seats for tomorrow before they announced the extension... ah, well. Still super excited (although nervous... I'm very short and have heard only bad things about the orch)

This is the most I've ever paid for a show - I've heard terrible things about the orchestra and as a 4"11' person I'm reeeaalllly hoping it's not that bad!
