re: Tabatha's Salon Takeover is BACK!!  Feb 16 2011, 05:32:48 AM
This bump was long overdue.

Still one of my favorite shows. This season went by soo fast, I can't believe the finale is already next week. I've already respected and admired her but after getting a chance to meet her in person and finishing her book, that respect and admiration grew even more. This woman is truly amazing.

Question about getting a Playbill from a current show  Sep 23 2010, 04:28:36 AM
He's probably just a kid and doesn't know any better. (I won't say anything bad about his parents)

From an environmental standpoint, taking that many Playbills may increase the theater's demand for more Playbills (you're not the only one who takes large quantities of Playbills, but you're a big contributor), therefore wasting more paper and creating more waste. So that's a big no no. Just don't do it next time. and learn to share. Listen to your elders.

Are people over Mad Men?
which is worse: stinking like weed or texting in a theater?  Jun 1 2010, 04:26:08 AM
I didn't read all of the posts to this thread but this is my two cents:

Before you confront someone for something like texting in the theater, you shouldn't have something they can use against you. Imagine if you were doing something that was distracting to someone. If that particular person happened to smell like weed, you'd use that against him or her. I do think it was necessary that the texter be confronted. It just would have gone better if the confronter didn't smell of weed.

At the end of the day a GREAT SHOW!  Nov 20 2009, 05:41:53 AM
I saw this last night. Loved it. LOVED it.

Moya Angela..amazing! She was phenomenal during "I Am Changing," even better than she was during "And I Am Telling You." Chester Gregory..AMAZING!! and another stand out for me was Adrienne Warren who played Lorrell. She was really great!

Gotta say though, there's something going on at the Apollo. They should be used to having a large audience. They couldn't have been more inefficient. I got to the theater at 7:55 and I had to get on t

I hear the Orange Orange is gonna turn into a Subway. Whatever keeps the show going.

re: I Just Had The Best Ice Cream That I Ever Had  Sep 28 2009, 03:05:39 AM
LizzieCurry, I had Bi-Rite yesterday. I had the salted caramel. It was a little too sweet but still really really good. My friend had the lavender honey. I tried some of hers and didn't care for it because it tasted just like the smell of the laundry detergent I use. I also tried the strawberry balsamic and didn't think there was enough balsamic in it.

Hey thanks robbie_731, they clips are aweeeeeeesome. They were pretty generous with them, length wise.

That first clip though..Arlington Hill, one of the best parts of the show..I got goosebumps. I almost forgot how amazing Coleman Domingo was. Holy Shit I can not wait.

Don't Stop Believin' - The BROADWAY 'Rock of Ages' Love Thread  Aug 19 2009, 04:14:18 AM
I saw the show on Monday. It was a great show except for when some fangirls started standing up during Here I Go Again, no offense, as I assume these fangirls are here in this thread.

The understudy for Drew was awesome. I liked him so much better than Constantine who I've seen twice.

Savannah was good but mehh. I was at the first preview so I saw Amy Spanger, who I thought was good. I love her in the cast recording.

I think they need to bring Kelli Barrett to this imm
