Whole Backstage Theatre Announces 2010 TAKE THE STAGE Talent Competition, 6/3-6/8

The Whole Backstage Theatre announces auditions for the second TAKE THE STAGE amateur talent competition this summer, for amateur performers of all kinds from Alabama and surrounding states.
The 2010 TAKE THE STAGE talent competition will take place in June at the Whole Backstage Theatre in Guntersville, with preliminary rounds on June 3, 4, and 5, with the final competition round on Sunday, June 6. The contest is open to individuals and groups - age eight (8) years and up. Talent can be any type of amateur entertainment (singing, dancing, bands/ instrumental music, martial arts, comedy, dramatic performance, etc.) suitable for a family audience. Up to sixty acts will be selected to compete in the preliminary rounds from the audition entries submitted. Acts will be evaluated and scored by a panel of judges which will include local and regional representatives of education, business, politics, and the entertainment industry. The ten top scoring acts from the preliminary rounds will advance to the final round of competition, to vie for first, second and third place cash and prizes totaling at least $1,000.
