In 2018, for the ninth time in its history, the Queen Elisabeth Competition will focus on singing. From 1 to 12 May, an international jury of renowned singers, teachers and opera directors will search for the voices of tomorrow. In the finale, participants may rely on the experience and expertise of the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra, this time under the confident leadership of its principal conductor and Music Director Alain Altinoglu. Following the competition, La Monnaie audiences will be able to enjoy the increased concentration of vocal talent in Brussels for a little longer, as several of the winners will be invited to once again give of their best in two short concerts.
