What happens when the rhythms and imagery of Shakespeare’s words become movement and are transformed into dance? How can listening to a mute partner be expressed by the body? Gazes, hands, and feet unfold an enchanted world of characters and their whimsical manners. The twin title refers to a play in a dance performance, a meeting between Brian Eno’s album Another Green World and Shakespeare’s comedy As You Like it, set in the idyllic world of the Forest of Arden, into which lovers flee from a corrupt court. Striking a delicate balance between formal abstraction and concrete gesture, the dancers dance their way through intricate entanglements, masquerades and games of seduction, misunderstanding and frivolity. Let yourself be fascinated by the intensity of a gently ironic world whose language doesn’t need to be deciphered to be understood.
