Christmas Village in Baltimore presents its Grand Opening Ceremony and Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 26, 2016. Head to Inner Harbor’s West Shore Park (501 Light Street) to meet the original Christkind (Christmas Angel) from Nuremberg, Germany, sing along with local choirs and musicians, and help light the festive 21-foot tall Christmas Tree. The ceremony will have representatives from the city of Baltimore, the German Embassy in Washington and the German Community in Baltimore. The Christkind arrives by decorated water taxi at 2:30pm, with the opening ceremony at 3:00pm and the tree lighting at 4:30pm. All opening festivities this day are free and open to the public.
