Generous Company's WordBRIDGE Playwrights Laboratory celebrates its 16th birthday at CENTERSTAGE in June 2012, and will welcome six playwrights to the 2012 Lab. The playwrights and plays selected to join a community of more than 60 artists from across the country to develop their work in Baltimore from June 9th-23rd are:

Cynthia Hardeman - Truth be Dead (aka free)
Dipika Guha - Herculine and Lola
Kevin McFillen - The Sleepers Run
Adam Pasen - Badfic Love
Greg Romero - The Babel Project (Music by Mike Vernusky)
Stephanie Swirsky - I Changed My Mind, I'm Fine

The partnership between CENTERSTAGE and WordBRIDGE was officially announced in a press release from CENTERSTAGE in November 2011.

Generous Company's WordBRIDGE is an internationally recognized play development laboratory. It provides emerging playwrights a place to experiment free from production pressures-where they can challenge themselves and their craft with daily rehearsals and through conversations with seasoned professional artists and resources that include directors, actors, dramaturgs, visual and improvisational artists, behavioral scientists, storytellers, mathematicians, musicians, and movement artists. WordBRIDGE also provides workshops, readings, and conversations with artists that are free and open to the public, and has developed plays by Lisa D'Amour, Marisa Wegrzyn, Keith Huff, George Brant, Megan Gogerty, and David Adjmi.
