Mobtown Players to Present MEDEA, 6/7-19
In The Mobtown Players' new production of Medea, Euripides' classic tale of betrayal, infidelity, and murder gets a makeover: old Hollywood style. A superstar struggles with the choice between embracing a new role as a revolutionary symbol or being cast into obscurity. A voracious, media-hungry society sets the stage for a surreal re-imagining of the classic Greek play. Featuring original music, dynamic physical work, and heightened imagery, Medea exposes the dark reality of how we create idols.
The production runs June 7 through 19, with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm. There will be a single matinee on Sunday, June 23 at 4.Tickets are $15 general admission and $12 for students and seniors and are available via Brown Paper Tickets and at the door.
The Mobtown Theater is located at 3600 Clipper Mill Road in Baltimore. For more information, visit www.mobtownplayers.net or search Facebook for "Mobtown Players."
