"This well-written play knows how to set up a confrontational situation that's destined to end up with a guitar being wielded as, er, a battle ax." – Mike Giuliano, The Baltimore Sun Mike

"In lesser hands the characters that Scharf has created for Hired Gun could easily become exaggerations of familiar clichés… In Scharf's hands the lesson learned is not what we expect. " - Mark Squirek, Baltimore Broadway World
