Jewish Theatre Workshop is pleased to announce the cast and production staff for the first show of their eighth season, John Patrick's THE CURIOUS SAVAGE.

THE CURIOUS SAVAGE tells the tale of Mrs. Ethel P. Savage, who inherits a business empire worth ten million dollars from her husband. Wanting to create a "happiness fund" in his name to help people realize their dreams, no matter how foolish, she sells the family businesses and converts the cash to negotiable securities, concealing their location from her grown stepchildren. Believing the money to be their birthright, her stepchildren commit her to a "sanatorium" hoping to "bring her to her senses" and reveal the location of the money. There, she bonds instantly with the other "guests" of the institution who, believing in the justice of her cause, conspire with Mrs. Savage to confound her stepchildren and achieve her dream.

Directed by Etan Weintraub, with costume design by Marcia Norris and set design by Amalia Kotlicky, the production is overseen by stage manager Ariella McCown and assistant stage manager Ari Cane. The cast features:

The Guests: Kristin Hessenauer as Florence, Willie Drayton as Hannibal, Melissa Ostroff as Fairy May, Will Fleagle as Jeffrey, and Lisa Jacobs as Mrs. Paddy.

The Family: Nancy Blum as Mrs. Ethel P. Savage, Ron Zyna as Senator Titus Savage, Deb Carson as Lily Belle Savage, and Scott Ference as Judge Samuel Savage.

The Staff: Ariella McCown as Miss Willie and Avi Sonenthal as Dr. Emmett.
