By: Aug. 15, 2012

Iron Crow Theatre has announced its 2012-2013 Season in residence at The Baltimore Theatre Project. The season includes one world premiere along with two Baltimore area premieres.

October 13-27, 2012
Bad Panda
by Megan Gogerty
Directed by Joseph Ritsch
In this sweet celebration of non-traditional families, Gwo Gwo the panda must balance his newfound desire for Chester the crocodile with his obligations to his prescribed panda mate, Marion. The animals eat, mate, splash around in identity politics, meditate on their impending extinction, and love one another as only families can. Iron Crow is honored to be producing the world premiere of this smart, and hilarious new play by Megan Gogerty.

March 30-April 13, 2013
Slipping
by Daniel Talbott
Directed by Steven. J. Satta-Fleming
A love story for our time and our youth: violent, jagged and dark, but pierced with beauty and hope. When the death of his father forces Eli to move from San Francisco to Iowa, he is hopelessly out of place in his new high school. Struggling with grief and the distance he feels from everyone, especially his mom, the attention of another boy may be just what Eli needs and far more than he can bear. This production is a Baltimore area premiere.

May 25-June 8, 2013
Act a Lady
by Jordan Harrison
Directed by Juanita Rockwell
When the men of a small Prohibition-era town decide to put on a play dressed in "fancy-type, women-type clothes,” eyebrows raise, identities explode, and life and art are forever entangled. A thoughtful and exuberant Midwestern fable. Accompanied by accordion. This production is a Baltimore area premiere and is being directed by guest artist Juanita Rockwell.
