Fells Point Corner Theatre Presents THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED, Opens 11/11
Is he or isn't he - and can an actor in the celluloid closet experience true love and career success? Gossip and entanglements snare a rising Hollywood hunk and his ruthless agent in this satiric look at celebrity and sexual hypocrisy. With dialogue as sharp as it is witty, Douglas Carter Beans's controversial comedy, The Little Dog Laughed is Noel Coward for the 21st century.
"Theatregoers have cause to rejoice. Devastatingly funny, with dizzy, irresistible writing that brings down the house." New York Times
The Little Dog Laughed is directed by Steve Goldklang, who also directed FPCT's very popular The Norman Conquests: TABLE MANNERS in 2010. In addition, he has directed Broadway Bound, The House of Blue Leaves, Everett Beekin, Scotland Road, The Dying Gaul, ART, The Sisters Rosensweig, The Clean House, The Complete History of America (abridged) and The Complete Works of Wm. Shakespeare (abridged), all at Fells Point Corner Theatre.
