Everyman's production of Two Rooms by Lee Blessing is now in previews and opens officially on Friday, January 22nd. Directed by Artistic Director Vincent Lancisi, Two Rooms is in many ways a love story. It speaks to how much we are capable of enduring for those we care the most about.

Somewhere in the Middle East an American professor is held hostage, blindfolded and alone in a cell. His wife, Lainie, waits for him at home in an empty room. Pressured by visits from an evasive government representative and a headline-hungry journalist, Lainie becomes increasingly afraid of losing her husband forever. Who can she trust? How can she help him? Written in 1988, this searing portrait of solitude and devotion rings eerily true to today's news. A revealing study of the personal side of terrorism, Two Rooms is also a love story between two people whose lives are interrupted by a world falling apart. Two Rooms will feature Everyman Theatre Resident Company members Clinton Brandhagen, Deborah Hazlett and Dawn Ursula.

Two Rooms runs from 1/21 to 2/21
