Winner of both Tony and Drama Desk awards, this musical features an eclectic ensemble of tween characters who vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime.
While candidly disclosing hilarious and heartfelt angst, these adolescents spell their way through a series of esoteric words in a quest to avoid the soul-crushing, pout-inducing "ding" of the bell which signals a mistake and necessitates a quick exit from the competition.
With it's fast-paced and wildly funny, yet poignant, script and a truly fresh score, this bee is a riotous ride complete with audience participation.
