"Madagascar, JR.," is based on the book by Kevin Del Aguila with original music and lyrics by George Noriega and Joel Someillan.

As described by DreamWorks, "Alex the lion [Ryann Reich of Edgewood, Md.], is the king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York's Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends - Marty the zebra [Grace Glennon of Towson, Md.], Melman the giraffe [Jules Einhorn of Baltimore, Md.] and Gloria the hippo [Emily Ricci of Nottingham, Md.] - have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his escape - with the help of some prodigious penguins - to explore the world.

Follow all of your favorite crack-a-lackin' friends as they escape from their home in New York's Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien's [Sarah Ward of Perry Hall, Md.] Madagascar."

Other players in this Cockpit in Court production include: Nikolas Benashviki, Meredith Einhorn, Seth Lindt and Maggi Rubin of Baltimore, Md.; Erin, Evelyn, Maeve and Nora Acerno of Bel Air, Md.; Mara Jade Beaumier and Julia Morgereth of Essex, Md.; Melody Blahut and Ella Galoni of Middle River, Md.; Mason Petr of Nottingham, Md.; Bella Comotto and Mia Saraceno of Parkville, Md.; Oliver Bressner, Abisolah and Anike Osho, Molly Parker, Claire Schafer and Rachel Ward of Perry Hall, Md.;
