The Vagabond Players announce auditions for the classic American comedy, Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring. Production dates are January 6 - February 7, 2012. Rehearsals will start Monday, November 14, 2011. This is a non-Equity, not-for-pay production.

Audition Times are Sunday, October 16 (7pm-9:30pm) and Monday, October 17, 2011 (7pm-9:30pm) at the Vagabond Theatre (806 S. Broadway, Baltimore 21231).
No appointment necessary. Actors will be asked to read from the script.

The role of Jonathan Brewster has been cast. All other roles open.
The roles of Rev. Harper/Witherspoon and Mr. Gibbs/Lt. Rooney may be double cast.
Abby Brewster: 60's - A darling lady with Victorian manners and values; the sister of Martha and an aunt to Teddy, Jonathan, and Mortimer.
Martha Brewster: 60's - A sweet elderly woman with Victorian charm; the sister of Abby and an aunt to Teddy, Jonathan, and Mortimer.
Mortimer Brewster: late 20's-30's - the charming, cynical nephew of Abby and Martha, Mortimer is a Manhattan drama critic who is engaged to Elaine and cares for his aunts.
Elaine Harper: 20's - Mortimer's pretty, independent girlfriend; the daughter of the Rev. Dr. Harper.
Teddy Brewster: 40's - Nephew of Abby and Martha Brewster; believes he is Theodore Roosevelt.
Dr. Einstein: 40's-50's - A plastic surgeon traveling with Jonathan, somewhat ratty in appearance, lives in a pleasant haze of alcohol.
The Rev. Dr. Harper: 50's-60's - Minister and father of Elaine
Officer O'Hara: 30's-40's - A police officer, O'Hara is a would-be playwright who pesters Mortimer to read his play.
Officer Brophy: 30+ - A police officer on the Brooklyn beat
Officer Klein: 20+ - A police officer on the Brooklyn beat
Lieutenant Rooney: 30's-40's - is the precinct boss, a tough New York cop
Mr. Gibbs: 60's-70's - A man who wishes to rent a room from the Brewster sisters
Mr. Witherspoon: 60's-70's the fastidious Superintendent of the Happy Dale Sanitarium
