ATMTC Celebrates 25 Years of JUNIE B. JONES This Summer!

Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC), recent recipient of three Helen Hayes Awards, brings to the stage Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook, directed by Rick Hammerly (founder and producing artistic director of Factory 449) in his first time directing for Theatre for Young Audiences and starring Helen Hayes Nominated Megan Graves as Junie B. Jones. Based on New York Times Bestselling book series by Barbara Park, this hilarious tale of Junie B. Jones losing her beloved mittens is recommended for all ages and opens June 16, 2017. Finders keepers, losers weepers, right? When Junie B. Jones, with her two bestest friends in the world, loses her new furry mittens to some "stealers," she has to investigate. But Junie B. might have something she forgot to return, too.

Michael J. Bobbitt, Artistic Director of Adventure Theatre MTC, adds, "Sassy, hilarious, and insightful, Junie B. will tickle everyone's funny bone and warm their hearts with her unique perspective of the world around her. Rick Hammerly has compiled an incredibly talented cast including Helen Hayes Award Recipient Keith Richards and Helen Hayes nominated Jessica Lauren Ball. I think we all could use a little belly-laughing and just pure joy this summer, and with that caliber of comic performer, you'll get it right here."

Barbara Park said of her delightful series, "This is the voice of a five-year-old that is entirely fictional, and just written for the fun of it. And what is really amazing to me is that kids get it. Even little kids."
