A once-in-a-lifetime Broadway event took place yesterday, December 21, following the matinee performance of The Last Ship when patrons were invited to meet Sting and members of the cast on stage at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 W. 52 St.) as they signed copies of the recently released Original Broadway Cast Recording. 16-time Grammy Award winning musician Sting, who now stars in The Last Ship (for which he also composed the score), was joined by cast mates Michael Esper, Rachel Tucker, Jimmy Nail,Fred Applegate, Aaron Lazar, Sally Ann Triplett and Collin Kelly-Sordelet. On the heels of the 16-time Grammy Award winner's sold-out, standing-room-only debut performance on Tuesday night, December 9, Sting's engagement in The Last Ship on Broadway has been extended through January 24, 2015, the musical's producers Jeffrey Seller and Kathryn Schenker announced. Originally scheduled to perform with the cast for five weeks, Sting will now appear for an additional two weeks in the role of Jackie White in The Last Ship at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 W. 52 St.). The production opened last night, December 15 and will play through Sunday evening, January 4, 2015.

Richard Winchester, producer and co-founder of Artfull Circle Theatre in San Francisco presents the New York return of the hilarious holiday musical comedy hit, the Drama Desk nominated Christmas with the Crawfords, playing at the Abrons Art Center. CWTC stars downtown legend Joey Arias as Joan Crawford and Project Runway's Chris March as her darling daughter Christina. Connie Champagne returns as Judy Garland - a role in which she has garnered international acclaim.

This strictly limited 13-week engagement will begin tomorrow, December 16, 2014 for a Tuesday, January 13, 2015 opening night at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). Earlier this week, THE ELEPHANT MAN opened at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th St), starring two-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper, Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson and Alessandro Nivola. Directed by Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis, the limited engagement will play through Sunday, February 15, 2014.
