Just before Thanksgiving, Actor and Hollywood Records recording artist Jordan Fisher made his Broadway debut in Hamilton, starring as John Laurens and Philip Hamilton. Fisher took over for original cast member Anthony Ramos who played his final performance on November 20.

The Illusionists - Turn Of The Century returns to Broadway for the third consecutive holiday season with a new show designed to transport audiences back to the golden age of magic.

Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway debut of August Wilson's Jitney, directed by Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson (The Piano Lesson, Seven Guitars, Gem of the Ocean), will begin previews Wednesday, December 28 ahead of a Thursday, January 19 opening night at MTC's Samuel J. The Fred Ebb Foundation just presented the twelfth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Thomas Mizer and Curtis Moore, last night in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.

This morning, BWW reported the sad news that Florence Henderson has passed away at the age of 82. Best known for her work on The Brady Bunch, Henderson was also a veteran of the stage. She made her Broadway debut at the age of 18 and played Laurey in the 1953 revival of Oklahoma! at City Center as well as the title role of Fanny at the Majestic Theatre in 1954. She also played Maria on the 1st National Tour of The Sound of Music, Anna in The King and I in Los Angeles in 1965, as well as Nellie Forbush in the 1967 Lincoln Centre production of South Pacific.

Just yesterday, Bloomingdale's invited guests to Lexington Avenue for the official unveiling of the iconic Bloomingdale's 2016 holiday windows. The theme of this year's holiday campaign is light and this is brought to life in the windows. Bloomingdale's has partnered with a group of dynamic visual artists who were each challenged to create a one-of-a-kind chandelier that is a work of their artistic expression based on the word 'light'.

Just yesterday, Bloomingdale's celebrated their highly anticipated holiday windows with the cast of Dear Evan Hansen, the new original musical now in previews on Broadway. Ben Platt, Laura Dreyfuss, Rachel Bay Jones and Jennifer Laura Thompson performed songs from the show as well as a holiday favorite. BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the special evening below!

The Players, the city's most fabled private social club for actors and artists, just presented its inaugural Helen Hayes Award to Barbara Cook, the musical theatre legend who is widely considered one of the twentieth century's best interpreters of the Great American Songbook, at a gala ceremony yesterday.

Alton Brown Live: Eat Your Science will make its Broadway debut Thanksgiving week for eight performances only at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 W 47th St). 

Lincoln Center Theatre's upcoming revival of The Glass Menagerie, starring Sally Field and Joe Mantello, will begin previews on February 7, 2017 at Broadway's Belasco Theatre. (111 W 44th St, New York). Opening night is set for March 9th.

The Tony Award® winning Matilda the Musical will close on January 1, 2017, after playing 37 previews, 1,555 regular performances, and one Actors Fund performance. The production opened on April 11, 2013 (previews began March 4) at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street).
