Ronan Farrow has joined MSNBC as the host of a new show currently in development. The weekday, one-hour program will begin in early 2014. The announcement was made today by Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC. Farrow, a writer, human rights lawyer, and former government official will also contribute to msnbc.com and across the platforms of NBC News.

CMT is traveling back down south to Bayou Pigeon, La., when SWAMP PAWNreturns for a 16-episode second season on Saturday, November 16 at 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., ET/PT, immediately following the series premiere of ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPERS. SWAMP PAWN follows Rick Phillips of Phillips Swamp Seafood in Bayou Pigeon, along with his colorful crew of neighboring “swampers” as they make their living fishing, hunting, buying and selling anything the bayou serves up. The first season of SWAMP PAWN currently ranks as CMT's second-highest rated series of 2013.

More than 3 million unduplicated total viewers tuned into Hallmark Channel for the October 12 season finale of its first original scripted series, 'Cedar Cove', which delivered a 2.2 household rating. The closing episode was the highest rated premiere of the season among W25-54 and A25-54 delivery, and ranked as the top program on cable for Saturday (outside of sports). Over the 13-week run of 'Cedar Cove' (7/20-10/13/13), the series averaged a 2.0 household rating, making Hallmark Channel the #1 cable network in the Saturday 8-9pm time period.

Fox Searchlight has released the first trailer for, inspired by the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle. Directed by BAFTA Award winner Amma Asante and written by Misan Sagay, Belle features Gugu Mbatha-Raw in her first starring role along with Tom Wilkinson, Emily Watson, Sarah Gadon, Penelope Wilton, Miranda Richardson, Tom Felton and Matthew Goode. Through three telecasts, this year's coverage is averaging a 3.1 U.S. HH rating and 4.7 million total viewers, up 35% and 34% over a 2.3 U.S. HH rating and 3.5 million total viewers for the comparable number of games in 2011.

ELEMENTARY posted its second-best live + 3-day viewer lift (behind its season premiere) and matched its series-best adult 18-49 and adult 25-54 lifts, according to Nielsen ratings for Thursday, Oct. 10.
