The stars of 'Dog With a Blog' -- G Hannelius, Blake Michael, Francesca Capaldi, Beth Littleford, Regan Burns and their canine co-star, Mick -- host a Disney Channel Friday Night of Premieres programming event (8:00-10:00 p.m.) that includes the season premiere (8:30 p.m., ET/PT) of their hit sitcom for kids and families, on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20. The series is #1 in its time period among Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14.

WickedGreen Productions introduces Basheret, a new play by local playwright and actor Bailey Boudreau. The premiere production will be a two day only benefit August 30th and 31st, 2013 at Affirmations Community Center in Ferndale, Michigan. Proceeds will go to both Affirmations and The Kyle Holton Memorial Scholarship Fund at Wayne State University. This is a limited engagement charity event. The season four premiere of 'Family Game Night' on the Hub Network, a destination for kids and their families, tops its season three premiere in key Kid and Adult demos and delivers year-to-date time period gains for the network. 'Family Game Night,' produced by Hasbro Studios, is the number one co-viewed show on the Hub Network last week amongst Adults 18-49 watching with Kids 2-11. Additionally, the series had its best season premiere in history with Girls 2-11 and Girls 6-11.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jones is developing LADYBALLS, a new hour-long dramedy for The CW under her two-year deal with Warner Bros. Television. The network has ordered a script for the project, which School Confidential's Kara Taylor will write.

The summer finale of “Switched at Birth” delivered its #2 telecast of the season in Total Viewers (1.96 million) – hitting a 6-week high – and notched 4-week highs in Women 18-34 (481,000/1.4 rating), Adults 18-49 (950,000/0.8 rating), Women 18-49 (769,000/1.2 rating) and Females 12-34 (816,000/1.8 rating), since 7/8/13 and 7/22/13, respectively.

For the week of August 12, 2013 “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” averaged 6.896 million Total Viewers and a 1.5 rating/6 share/1.774 million in Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. “World News” turned in Adult 25-54 gains compared to both the previous week (1.761 million on w/o 8/5/13) and the year-ago week (1.755 million on w/o 8/13/12). In fact, “World News” stood as the only evening newscast to build on its news demo audience year to year, as both the “CBS Evening News” (-15%) and “NBC “Nightly News” (-14%) posted double-digit losses.

Digital entertainment curator FilmBuff announced today that it would release the gripping documentary THE NETWORK, chronicling the birth of the first and most successful media network in Afghanistan, TOLO TV. FilmBuff will release the film theatrically for exclusive engagements in New York and Los Angeles, and then on all VOD platforms October 8.
