I had been hyping up Broadway for the entirety of Emma and I’s friendship, so I couldn’t wait for her to experience it. 

As a student at the University of Central Florida who is from New York, getting to go back to Long Island is a treat. I recently went back and took a trip into New York City. I got the pleasure of seeing The Great Gatsby on Broadway. 

Semester is almost over! Everybody cheer! In all seriousness though, this has been a great semester. I transferred at the beginning of the semester, so a lot has changed within the past few months for me. I am super lucky to be able to say that I love my school and I have adjusted great. But despite my love for my school, I have dealt with some burnout. 

​​​​Managing coursework, student involvement, friends, and good grades is a difficult thing to learn. In high school, the structured school days took the time management out of the hands of students. Now in college, with less structured days I have the ability to make my own routine from scratch.

Transferring schools can be a difficult adjustment. I started my freshman year of college at Florida Gulf Coast University as a Marketing major, but after spending Summer and Fall semester there, I realized it really wasn’t the place for me.

So far, I am loving UCF. Although the transfer process was very stressful, finding a school that caters to exactly what I want to do is so amazing.
