Performed by Wampach and dancer Tamar Shelef, SACRE is a radical reimagining of Vaslav Nijinsky's The Rite of Spring. The duet attempts to maintain the earthy, wild dissonance of the 1913 original.

Director Adam Isenberg Receives Margaret Mead Filmmaker AwardDecember 4, 2012Director Adam Isenberg received the Margaret Mead Filmmaker Award at the 2012 Margaret Mead Film Festival on Sunday, December 2, for his film A Life Without Words (Una Vida Sin Palabras), a story of two deaf siblings in rural Nicaragua living entirely without written, spoken, or signed language. Isenberg was selected from among 10 contenders by a jury that included Judith Helfand, Mohan Bonetti, Dan Cogan, and director and anthropologist Patricia Cardoso.
Celia Ramsay and Her Band Headline at Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse For CD Release, 1/16December 4, 2012Singer-songwriter Celia Ramsay, will headline at the Freight and Salvage Coffeehouse with her all-star band in January 2013 to release her newest CD, I'll Just Lie About It. Celia's band includes local standouts Tony Marcus, Patrice Haan, Jeff Sanford and John Wiitala. The new album debuts Celia as a songwriter, and the album has a distinctly 1930's jazz sensibility. Some of her songs are pure Blues while others are a humorous 'Ella Fitzgerald meets Mark Graham' mix, creating an album that is nicely balanced between dark blue songs and upbeat, sometimes bawdy humor.
