Filmmaker in Focus: Yasmin Ahmad, a tribute to the late Malaysian filmmaker Yasmin Ahmad (1958-2009), presents her critically acclaimed Orked trilogy in its entirety, and a weeklong run of Ahmed's final film, Talentime (2009), from May 5 through 12, in The Roy and Niuta Titus Theaters. It is organized by Jytte Jensen, Curator, Department of Film, The Museum of Modern Art, and William Phuan, independent curator.

MTV has picked up a second season of the original docu-series 'The Buried Life' set to air later this year. The announcement was made today by Tony DiSanto, President of Programming for MTV. 'The Buried Life' follows the real-life adventures of Duncan, Ben, Jonnie and Dave, as they travel the country trying to complete a list of '100 things they want to do before they die.' For each item they cross off their list, they help a perfect stranger accomplish one of their dreams, challenging each person they meet with the ultimate question -- 'What do YOU want to do before you die?'

Broadway star Andrea McArdle is set to take on the iconic role of Miss Hannigan this summer in the North Carolina Theatre's production of ANNIE, according to published reports. McArdle is best known for her Tony-nominated performance of the title role in ANNIE during its original run on Broadway.

Dallas Theater Center Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty announced today the company's 2010-11 season slated for the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre at the AT&T Performing Arts Center and the historic Kalita Humphreys Theater. DTC's 52nd season will include two classics never seen before at DTC, a wildly funny comedy, two musicals, a world premiere, and two grand dames of theater.

The UK Independent is reporting Kim Cattrall and Matthew Macfayden will team up with Gillian Anderson to star in the UK's Channel 4 four-part mini-series Any Human Heart. The series is an adaptation of William Boyd's best-selling novel and will premiere later this year.

Join multi instrumentalist Tracy Bonham for new music from her upcoming release Masts Of Manhattan as well as old favorites and covers with new twists. She has an amazing line up: Nicole Federici: viola, violin. Dan Cho (Regina Spektor): cello. Mike Duclos: bass. Konrad Meissner: drums (Matt Nathanson). Tracy weaves in and out of alternative rock, where she is most commonly known, to bright moments of Classical, Eastern European, and Gypsy music in just a few brushstrokes. Tracy and her band will be joined by special guests Mike & Ruthy and Jon Darling of The Grey Race.
