Jennifer Koh's Bach & Beyond Part 1 on CD 10/30October 11, 2012Violinist Jennifer Koh brings her Bach and Beyond recital concept to CD with Bach & Beyond Part 1, released by Cedille Records. The album is the first in a three-part series of studio recordings based on her challenging and inventive recital series that explores the history of the solo violin repertoire from Bach's six Sonatas and Partitas to modern day composers including newly commissioned works. The album is currently available for digital download and will be available on CD on Tuesday, October 30.

Needemann Brothers Play the Triad in NYC, 10/24October 3, 2012Called "the feel good show of the year", The Needemann Brothers bring their hilarious antics to New York City's premier cabaret theater, The Triad on October 24th at 7pm. The production features never-before-seen material, and decades of popular song. The Needemann Brothers are a two-man musical comedy cabaret act from the west coast featuring Anthony Bollotta, and television, film actor, Jorge Luis Abreu. Penumbra Announces Spring Season Steps Up to Latest Fiscal ChallengesSeptember 6, 2012Penumbra Theatre Company announced today that it has decided to temporarily suspend programming due to an immediate cash flow challenge. If the fall fundraising efforts are successful, Penumbra will present SPUNK, an adaptation by George C. Wolfe of three tales by Zora Neale Hurston in March 2013 along with the popular Let's Talk Theatre and REEL Talk events. However, strong dedicated support for the Penumbra Summer Institute, a three-year arts education and leadership training program, will enable that program to continue as scheduled.

Performances are Saturdays, September 8 & 15 at 7pm, and Fridays, September 21 & 28 at 7pm.
