Broadway's new musical comedy DISASTER!, directed by Jack Plotnick with a book by three-time Emmy Award nominee and Grammy Award nominee Seth Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick, officially opened last night, March 8, 2016, for a limited engagement through Sunday, July 3, 2016. Abingdon Theatre Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tony Speciale, presents the world-premiere run of A Room of My Own. Written and Directed by Charles Messina, Off-Broadway performances conclude March 13 at Abingdon's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Due to demand, The New Group has announced a second extension for Sam Shepard's Buried Child, now playing through April 3. Originally set to play through March 13, an extension through Sunday, March 27 was recently announced for this limited Off-Broadway engagement. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production features Taissa Farmiga, Ed Harris,Amy Madigan, Larry Pine, Rich Sommer, Paul Sparks and Nat Wolff. The show just opened last night at The Pershing Square Signature Center (The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street) and BroadwayWorld was there. Check out photos below!

Opening Night! After Roundabout Theatre Company's NOISES OFF opened on January 14, 2016, the cast headed off to party and BroadwayWorld was there to capture the fun and the fashion!

It was 20 years ago when Sarah Jessica Parker starred Off-Broadway in A.R. Gurney's off-beat comedy about a man and his dog, SYLVIA. Just last night her hubby Matthew Broderick had the honor of opening in SYLVIA on Broadway, joined by Annaleigh Ashford as Sylvia, with Julie White and Robert Sella. The York Theatre Company, in association with Arnold Mittelman and the National Jewish Theater Foundation, presents the premiere production of Rothschild & Sons, an intimate one-act reimagining of the nine-time Tony-nominated musical The Rothschilds (inspired by Frederic Morton's book of the same title).

The new dance musical spectacle TRIP OF LOVE, inspired by the biggest hit songs of the 1960s, just opened at Stage 42, formerly The Little Shubert Theater (422 West 42nd St). American pop culture is still pulsing with the psychedelic energy of the Sixties, an era of expression and revolution around the world. The music told the story then and it will again this fall as TRIP OF LOVE brings the decade to life with over 25 of the biggest hits of the '60s, including 'Blowin' In The Wind,' 'Born To Be Wild,' 'California Dreamin',' 'I Saw Her Standing There,' 'These Boots Are Made For Walkin',' 'White Rabbit,' 'You Don't Own Me' and many more.

Tony Award winner Christian Borle, and Tony Award nominees Brian d'Arcy James and John Cariani were honored last night with the unveiling of a signature Dan May portrait and party at Tony's di Napoli Restaurant in Times Square, hosted by Valerie Smaldone and Bruce Dimpflmaier, commemorating their roles as Shakespeare and the Bottom Brothers in the smash hit musical Something Rotten! LAUGH IT UP, STARE IT DOWN, a new play written by Alan Hruska (The Man on Her Mind, New House under Construction, Reunion), is directed by Chris Eigeman (known as a filmmaker for Turn The River and as an actor for roles in television's Gilmore Girls and the films Metropolitan, Barcelona, and The Last Days of Disco), and premiered at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) last night, September 9th, 2015.

One of America's most controversial men takes center stage in a new play by Joan Beber called IN BED WITH ROY COHN. Directed by Katrin Hilbe, IN BED WITH ROY COHN opened last night, September 2nd, and will run through October 3rd at Theater Row's Lion Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). Second Stage Theatre presents the world premiere production of Whorl Inside a Loop, a new play by Dick Scanlan and Sherie Rene Scott, co-directed by Michael Mayer and Mr. Scanlan, the creative team behind the Tony-nominated, critically acclaimed hit, Everyday Rapture, which had its world premiere at Second Stage Theatre in 2009.
