Luke Grooms will perform for the second time at Germano's by popular demand, Friday February 18th at 7:30pm at Germano's Trattoria. For this show he will have several special guests.

Silver Spring Stage presents Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, directed by Andrew S. Greenleaf and produced by Andrea Spitz, the impassioned story of star-crossed lovers whose forbidden love catapults over family rivalry into the poetic realm of romance and tragedy. Romeo and Juliet will perform weekends February 18 to March 12.

(Today Sunday 13th Feb) Four young ‘explorers' joined forces with some very special Crafted Creatures - PVC and fabric rabbits by artist Sharon Hay, as they 'hopped' on the LUAS to follow the Find: Crafted Creatures trail - a self-guided weekend treasure-hunt trail for families produced by The Ark and the National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts and History, brought to you by LUAS. The trail runs alongside Crafted Creatures, an exhibition and series of craft workshops where each child can make their own crafted creature, running at The Ark from 15th February, specially commissioned by The Ark, A Cultural Centre for Children and the Crafts Council of Ireland as part of Year of Craft 2011.

The stars of the film THE THORNHILLS OF PARK AVENUE appeared at The National Arts Club at 15 Gramercy Park South in New York on Friday, February 11 to read from the new book 'In the Mean Time,' by Anthony Haden Guest. Mr. Guest, along with Bill Connington (ZOMBIE) and Juliette Bennett (AS GOOD AS DEAD) read satiric selections for a packed room of people from the theater, art, and journalistic worlds. The three performers just wrapped shooting the comedic film THE THORNHILLS, directed by acclaimed director Thomas Caruso.

Howard Scott Gallery is pleased to announce the opening - on Thursday, February 17 - of an exhibition of recently completed paintings by Donald McLaughlin. The forthcoming exhibition will be the artist's eighth one-person show with the gallery.

Trustus Theatre is currently running its spiritually rousing production of Mahalia, and on February 22nd the B.N. Scott Choraliers from First Nazareth Baptist Church will be presenting A Gospel Evening; a one-night-only fundraising event. Broadway star Betty Garrett died in Los Angeles at the age of 91. Garrett died Saturday at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, most likely from an aortic aneurysm, according to her son Garrett Parks. Garrett was in good health and even taught her musical comedy class at Theater West on Wednesday night. Theater West is a non-profit organization which she helped found. Friday, she checked into the hospital with heart trouble and died the next morning, with her family at her side.

Tovah Feldshuh and Betty Buckly are currently starring in Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring at the Kalita Humphreys Theater at the Dallas Theater Center. Directed by Scott Schwartz, the production began performances on February 4, 2011 and runs through March 13, 2011.

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theatre of California, and Tony-nominated director Sheryl Kaller (Broadway's Next Fall and Off-Broadway's Adrift in Macao) present DANGEROUS BEAUTY, starring Jenny Powers (Broadway's Grease as Rizzo and Little Women as Meg) as Veronica Franco.

On February 21, a reading of ALKY will be presented at the Laurie Beechman, directed and produced by Ryan Duncan (Shrek, Altar Boyz) and performed by members of Honorable Mention, Waterwell, and more.
