Deborah Berman, a highly regarded veteran arts administrator with extensive experience on both coasts, has been appointed Executive Director of Los Angeles Children's Chorus (LACC) following a nationwide search, it was announced by LACC Board Chair David Scheidemantle. Ms. Berman has been serving as Interim Executive Director since December 1, 2010, and assumes her new post effective immediately.

Veteran humorist and playwright, Justin Moran, launched 'Spiderman Smackdown', a guerilla theatre project to write, rehearse, and perform a fully realized musical based on the character Spiderman in under 30 days with a budget of $0. Moran's musical will be the first Spiderman Musical to officially open in New York City.

Now the only spider and super hero related musical to of?cially open on March 15, Spidermusical. producers are sending an open invitation to the cast of Broadway's Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark to an opening night party at Sardi's. The cast has been quoted on BroadwayWorld.com as scrambling to reverse travel and hotel plans for friends and family, and as disappointed in missing what would have been a 'celebration of making it that far.' Therefore, the Spidermusical. team welcomes any and all Spider-Man cast and crew to party with them in spider-themed musical brotherhood, the ?rst drink on the house. (Party will begin post show, 10PM, on March 15th.)
