Judges Choose 12 for St. Louis Teen Talent Showcase Finals

On Saturday, April 16th, 25 metro area high schools continued their journey toward scholarships, prizes and money for their performing arts programs by competing at the St. Louis Teen Talent Showcase Semifinals. Area performing arts professionals judged the groups and narrowed them down to 12 that will move on to the finals on Friday, May 6th at 8pm at The Fabulous Fox Theatre (list of schools attached). The final competition is a Broadway style show and FREE to the public. Tickets are available at no charge at The Fox box office and through Metrotix (via phone and online)

Financial woes have taken their toll on the Tony-winning Intiman Theatre, which will cancel the rest of its season and lay off all of its employees, according to the Seattle Times. Intiman's board made the decision Saturday morning.

The exhibition at Galerie Lelong coincides with the presentation of Plensa's monumental sculpture Echo, opening May 5 at New York's Madison Square Park. In Echo and the works featured in A N O N Y M O U S, Plensa conveys notions of the individual and humanity as both distinctive and universal. A N O N Y M O U S opens at Galerie Lelong on Friday, May 6 from 6 to 8 pm, and the artist will be present.
