The Actors Fund Housing Development Corporation (AFHDC) today launched a market study to determine the interests of performing and visual artists and others associated with the arts, entertainment and creative industries in affordable housing in Rahway, NJ. In an event at the new Hamilton Stage, the AFHDC began a four-week initiative to survey artists from metropolitan New York to Trenton, NJ. Survey results will help shape the Rahway Residence for the Arts, a 69-unit affordable housing project the AFHDC will develop in the Rahway Arts District (RAD).

Swedish collective The Amazing will kick off a nationwide tour with Tame Impala this fall; please see below for complete list of dates. This marks The Amazing's first ever tour stateside and follows the release of their long awaited album Gentle Stream, out October 23 on Partisan Records. Inspired by the music of 60s and 70s Laurel Canyon community, Q Magazine calls Gentle Stream, "A gorgeously understated blend of gentle psychedelic pop, tranquil folk rock and gently stoned prog." Beginning August 15th, The Harbor Stage Company launches the third and final chapter of its critically acclaimed inaugural season with David Rabe's tragic farce Sticks and Bones. The production marks the Cape Cod premiere of the much lauded, rarely produced play, a searing dark comedy whose Broadway production earned the 1972 Tony Award for Best Play. The New York Times calls the play "a poet's vision of the disaster of moral bankruptcy."

Lovers & Executioners is an adaptation of a 17th century commedia dell'arte-inspired comedy originally written by Antoine Jacob de Montfleury. It follows the exploits of Julie, left on a desert island three years previously by her husband, Bernard. She escapes death and returns, disguised as a man, to seek revenge on Bernard and to learn why he betrayed her.

Totem Pole Playhouse, in its 62nd year history, has always had the mission to bring Broadway quality theatre to the South Central Pennsylvania region. To this end, many of the actors and designers are drawn from talent pools in larger cities like New York and Washington, DC. But the big cities by no means have a monopoly on talent, and Artistic Director Ray Ficca is always eager to mix local actors into a season's line up.
