The Cooperstown Summer Music Festival presents the Juilliard String Quartet on Friday, August 24 at 7:30 pm at The Farmers' Museum. The all-Beethoven program features the String Quartet in C sharp minor, Op. 131, and the Quartet in A minor, Op. 132.

16th Street Theater presents the world premiere of Will Dunne's Love and Drowning September 20 - October 27, 2012 at 6420 16th Street in Berwyn, with a press opening of Thursday, September 27 at 7:30 PM. Artistic Director Ann Filmer directs. Love and Drowning is the final offering in 16th Street's Season Five 2012: Love, Faith and the Unknown.

This exhibit pays tribute to one of our greatest rhythm and blues legends - 'Wicked' Wilson Pickett. 25 At the Top: The Exhibit is a pictorial overview which includes original programs, clothing, posters, scores, photos, recordings, awards, video footage and gold records. The exhibit will be displayed at the Porter Sanford III Center for Performing Arts from August 17 - September 23, 2012. Admission is free.

HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER, a new Off-Broadway comedy written and performed by Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle, is set to begin performances next Wednesday, August 22nd at Sofia's Downstairs Theater in the heart of Times Square.

Hosted by Detroit's own comedian/impressionist Martini Harris (One Mic Stand with Kevin Hart/Corner Store), "Saturday Night Sizzle" will take to the City Theatre stage for two performances at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

"The Irish in Film," the free movie series sponsored by the Irish Studies Program at Fairfield University, opens on Wednesday, October 3, with the first of four diverse films. The series, now in its fifth year, is part of Fairfield University's Arts & Minds season of cultural and intellectual programs.

Lori McKenna will perform with her band as part of the 2012 Rock and Blues Cruise Season Finale on Sunday afternoon, August 26. New York-based choreographer and performer, Monica Bill Barnes has created 12 evening-length dance works, numerous site-specific events, and several cabaret numbers for her company. Beginning with an open rehearsal on Tuesday, September 11, Barnes will create a new work to be showcased at the Emory Dance Company Fall concert.
