Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, boy band Blue and R&B singer Macy Gray are among the stars lending their support to BBC Children in Need 2012.

The stars will appear in West End shows for one night only - Halliwell in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN on October 25; Burke in LES MISERABLES on September 18; Gray in THRILLER LIVE on November 15; and Blue in JERSEY BOYS on October 11 - and 50% of the £80 ticket price for each show will go to Children in Need.

BBC Children in Need is the BBC's UK corporate charity. BBC Children in Need 2011 raised £26,332,334 on the night, and in the months following Appeal Night money raised from fundraisers, schools and businesses around the UK as well as donations continued to pour in, amounting to over £46 million for projects supporting children and young people this year.

The BBC Children in Need Appeal Night takes place every year in November.
