This Fall, the Kitchen Theatre will offer a series of acting classes every Monday in October from 7-9PM. Geared for participants ages 15 and up, the classes will include a mix of theatre games and exercises along with detailed discussions and demonstrations on how to break down a script, how to establish objectives and beats, and how to build a character. Eventually, the group will take to the stage, rehearsing short scenes and exploring staging and how to play to an audience. The series will conclude with an informal gathering on October 29th.

Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Founder & Artistic Director), has announced the complete cast of the 10th anniversary production of the hit, award-winning play, The Exonerated, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, presented in special association with The Innocence Project.

Dana Tai Soon Burgess & Co. will conclude its 20th anniversary season with a new work at its September performance. Chugg Entertainment can today confirm that Sir Elton John's Melbourne Concert will be held on Sunday 18 November at Rod Laver Arena. Tickets for this show will go on sale on Friday 21 September at 9am.

Pride Films and Plays is accepting entries into the Great Gay Play and Musical Contest now through October 22, 2012. Each of the five finalists will receive $400, and their scripts will be performed as 'enhanced staged readings' during Gay Play Weekend at Center on Halsted, Chicago, in spring 2013.

The Laurel Mill Playhouse, located at 508 Main Street in historic Laurel, MD., presents The Tempest. Directed by Joshua Mckerrow and produced by Diana and Larry Simmons, this Shakespearean epic play opens Friday, September 14, 2012.

This inaugural "Panto at The Playhouse" production of A SNOW WHITE CHRISTMAS will be directed by Bonnie Lythgoe ("So You Think You Can Dance") with choreography by Spencer Liff (Emmy nominee "So You Think You Can Dance") and musical direction by Michael Orland ("American Idol"). Performances will begin December 13 through December 23, with a gala press opening night on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at The Pasadena Playhouse.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today Ang Lee has been added to the roster of its 2012 NYFF HBO Directors Dialogues participants. FSLC also announced the selections for the 16th edition of NYFF's Views From the Avant-Garde, the popular yearly touchstone for experimental film around the world as well as the presentation of filmmaker awards from the Kazuko Trust for the first time. In addition, NYFF announced the selections for this year's short film programs.

Rent, with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson and directed by Paul Taylor-Mills, will run at Greenwich Theatre, beginning previews on Wednesday 5th September, and ending Sunday 16th September. Press night is Friday 7th September at 7.30pm.
