The NATIONAL NEW PLAY NETWORK (NNPN), the country's alliance of non-profit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, proudly announces the commission of four podcast plays by DC-based playwrights, to be presented during its 2012 National Showcase of New Plays. Short works by Paige Hernandez, Jacqueline E. Lawton, Stephen Spotswood and Gwydion Suilebhan will be recorded onto iPod Shuffles and depart the Woolly Mammoth lobby in four directions - respectively, North, West, South and East - at all hours during the Showcase, November 29 - December 2.

The Den Theatre will present a remount of TurnAround Theatre's original hit production of Brian Friel's FAITH HEALER, 17 years after the critically acclaimed show played to sold-out houses at TurnAround and Steppenwolf Theatres. Original cast members Brad Armacost, Lia D. Mortensen and Si Osborne return for the remount, which features the original direction by J.R. Sullivan. Ben Caron Releases New EP

Los Angeles-based songwriter Ben Caron is releasing another EP on his way to a fully fan-funded debut album. Love Me Too, which will be released on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, is the third installment of new music from the artist. Caron has been recording his album in three-song segments, which have all been paid for through donations from his growing sphere of fans through a blog he set up for just this purpose. He has been building his fan base and testing the songs at performances across Southern California. In Los Angeles, he is a regular performer and producer at Rockwell: Table and Stage, where he held residence in May as well as performing sold-out shows at Bar Lubitsch and M Bar.
