This holiday season, audiences of all ages will enjoy the uplifting story of the Tony Award nominated hit musical IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS. Presented by Atlanta Lyric Theatre, IRVING BERLIN'S WHITE CHRISTMAS, the stage reinvention of the beloved classic film, will play the Earl Smith Strand Theatre (117 N. Park Sq., Marietta) Dec. 7 - 23.

The Actors Chapelis has announced that the world renowned vocalist Linda Eder will join the star-studded musical extravaganza, The Voices United Choral Festival on Monday, November 12 at 7:30pm at NY's legendary Beacon Theatre (2124 Broadway).

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) and Under The Radar Festival Director Mark Russell announced the line-up today for the ninth annual UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL, January 9-20, 2013, at the newly revitalized Public Theater at Astor Place. A popular and highly-anticipated program of The Public Theater's winter season, the 2013 UNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL will include artists from seven countries, including Iran, Belarus, the Netherlands, China, Japan, and Australia, and the return of UTR favorites like Back to Back Theatre, Pig Iron Theatre Company, Belarus Free Theatre, Lemon Andersen, and Nature Theater of Oklahoma.

The Shaw Festival's Artistic Director Jackie Maxwell will receive an honorary doctor of laws degree from Queen's University for her landmark achievements in Canadian theatre, theatre arts and her promotion of new visions of Canada on the world stage. The degree will be conferred during the fall convocation ceremonies on November 20 at 10 a.m. in Grant Hall (43 University Avenue), one of the oldest buildings on the Queen's University campus. In addition to leading several on-campus workshops, Ms. Maxwell will also give the convocation address after receiving her honorary degree.

Aurora Theatre's Funny Fridays -- club comedy performances on the square in downtown Lawrenceville--offers an expanded schedule this season with the introduction of Funny Fridays: Saturday Edition. This November Aurora welcomes an all-female roster of comediennes with hilarious headliner Karen Mills. November 16-17 at 7:15 PM & 9:15 PM will be a great weekend of comedy featuring three ladies who are downright funny.

The Utah Shakespeare Festival has taken action to help families in need this holiday season. Throughout the 2012 fall season, southern Utah residents were able to participate in the ninth annual food drive. Thanks to the generosity of the surrounding community, the Festival was able to donate 6,751 pounds of food to the Iron County Care and Share facility, which is the largest amount of food ever donated by the Festival-about three and a half times more than last year.

DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, the award-winning worldwide smash-hit Broadway musical, is returning to Omaha for just five performances as part of the Omaha Performing Arts' Broadway Series. Produced by NETworks Presentations, this elaborate theatrical production will come to life on stage at the Orpheum Theater Friday, December 14 through Sunday, December 16. The show was previously in Omaha for a full week in June, 2010. DISNEY'S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will play the Orpheum Theater, for five performances, Friday, December 14 through Sunday, December 16, 2012. Performance times are Friday evening at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Fourth Arts Block (FABnyc) has re-scheduled Load OUT!, a semi-annual 'riot' of repurposing and recycling activities, to Saturday, November 17, 2012. At Load OUT! FABnyc will gather gently used materials from arts organizations and other donors throughout the East Village/Lower East Side for a one-of-a-kind day of exchange, which takes place at 19 East 3rd Street from 11AM-3PM.

The Emelin Theatre has announced the return of classical music in celebration of its 40th anniversary. On November 16th the tradition continues with a performance by the Juilliard String Quartet - one of the most celebrated and widely recorded string quartets of our time.
