Society for the Performing Arts (SPA) announced today that it has added three performances of SPANK! The Fifty Shades Parody to its 2012-2013 season. The performances will be at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, Friday, Jan. 18 and Saturday, Jan. 19 in the Cullen Theater at the Wortham Center (501 Texas Ave.).

The producers and company of the acclaimed Off-Broadway hit play Tribes welcome the return of Nick Westrate, winner of a 2012 Special Drama Desk Award for his versatility in the 2011-2012 season (Unnatural Acts, Love's Labor's Lost, and Galileo), who will assume the role of Daniel beginning Monday, November 19, 2012 at The Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street). Will Brill, who originated the role, will give his final performance Sunday, November 18, 2012.

Next up for FREUD'S LAST SESSION will be this winter's Los Angeles run, starring Judd Hirsch as Sigmund Freud and Tom Cavanagh as C. S. Lewis under the direction of Tyler Marchant, who helmed the New York and Chicago productions. Presented by The Broad Stage and CRC Productions, FREUD'S LAST SESSION will begin performances January 11th for a strictly limited engagement through February 10th at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica.

The Chicago production of FREUD'S LAST SESSION, New York's long-running hit play by Mark St. Germain, will end its run this Sunday, November 11th at the Mercury Theatre. Starring Mike Nussbaum and Coburn Goss, FREUD'S LAST SESSION was extended several times by popular demand after opening on March 26th to unanimous rave reviews. THE SKIVVIES bring their unique blend of stripped-down, amped-up pop to The Cutting Room on Monday, November 19 at 7:30 PM. Trinity Repertory Company's Education Department has announced the second annual Write Here! Write Now! student playwriting competition. Students in grades 9-12 from the six New England states are invited to submit an original short play (6-10 pages) between now and February 1, 2013. The winning playwrights will work with Trinity Rep staff members to further develop the work, and then see their play read by professional actors in front of an invited audience of friends and family.

Musicians On Call (MOC), a nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities, is excited to announce a special live performance by the legendary rock band Chicago at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on November 19, 2012. When Chicago played the MOC Benefit Concert last year the response was so great that the band volunteered to do it again this year.

ACT - A Contemporary Theatre presents its 37th annual production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, adapted by Gregory A. Falls. This year, A Christmas Carol is directed by John Langs, who was recently named ACT's new Associate Artistic Director. Stage veterans and Seattle favorites R. Hamilton Wright (Recent winner of The Gregory Falls Award, for lifetime achievement; returns for his 4th run as Scrooge) and Jeff Steitzer (has performed Scrooge thrice at ACT; Broadway credits: Inherit The Wind; Mary Poppins; also, Voice of God Multiplayer Announcer for all HALO video games) alternating in the role Ebenezer Scrooge. In 2012, Charles Dickens is celebrated for his 200th year.

An urban chanteuse by birth, Amel Larrieux grew up in a West Village 'artists building' in New York City, her parents exposing her early to a community of artists and artistic experiences that would mold her eclectic sensibilities. At the age of 18, sure that she wanted to express herself musically, Amel wrote and demoed a song, which led to her pairing with Bryce Wilson to form the duo Groove Theory. As lead vocalist and co¬?writer for the group, she enjoyed success with 'Tell Me,' which broke the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 and the top five on the R&B charts before being certified gold in October 1995.

On Veterans Day (Sunday, November 11) and the following day (Monday, November 12), active and retired members of any branch of the U.S. armed forces will be admitted free of charge, along with one guest each, to The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Cloisters museum and gardens upon presentation of their military identification. November 12 is a Met Holiday Monday, when the Metropolitan's main building and The Cloisters-which have historically been closed on Mondays-will both be open to the public. Regular admission policies will apply to all other visitors.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the James Bond franchise, the Houston Symphony will recreate the popular film series' memorable musical moments in concerts on November 23, 24 and 25. Houston Symphony Principal Pops Conductor Mike Krajewski will lead the orchestra and Tony Award-winning vocalist Debbie Gravitte, who will sing popular songs such as "Goldfinger," "Diamonds Are Forever," "The World Is Not Enough" and Adele's newest hit, 'Skyfall,' the title song for the eponymous 23rd film in the Bond franchise, which opens tomorrow.
