Signature Theatre Company's production of Tony Kushner's ANGELS IN AMERICA: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes, began performances Tuesday, September 14. The first New York revival of Kushner's Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play is directed by Michael Greif. The production, originally slated to run through December 19, has been extended a second time through February 20, 2011. REO Speedwagon frontman, Kevin Cronin, will rock Broadway with their classic hit Can't Fight This Feeling (backed by ROA's band Arsenal) and will be joined by all of REO Speedwagon for a Q & A immediately following the evening performance of ROCK OF AGES on Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. The post-show performance/ Q & A is free and open to that evening's ticket holders only.

On Monday, October 4, 2010, Tony Award winning actress and Grey's Anatomy star Sara Ramirez and Emmy award winning television personality and the evening's host Carson Kressley, will be joined by a host of Broadway stars for an intimate evening to celebrate Broadway Takes the Runway - an evening of fashion and song. All proceeds from the night will benefit the Al D. Rodriguez Liver Foundation, which honors the close friend of Ramirez and Kressley, who was lost to liver cancer in 2008.

Fame star and sometimes So You Think You Can Dance choreographer will direct an episode of the CW's Hellcats, according to E! Online. Reportedly, Allen will incorporate a large musical dance number into the episode.

TV Guide repots that Eliza Dushku will make a guest appearance on the Big Bang Theory this season. Dushku will appear in the seventh episode of the CBS comedy 'as an FBI agent who questions Wolowitz's friends so he can get top-secret security clearance.' The Big Bang Theory premieres tonight, September 23 at 8pm EST on CBS.

EW's Ausiello Files reports that Cheyenne Jackson will be returning to NBC's 30 Rock on the October 14th live episode. The FINIAN'S RAINBOW star first appeared on the hit comedy on November 14, 2009, and made a second appearance in the November 20, 2009 episode. The October 14 live episode will be aired live from NBC's studio 8H for both east and west coast audiences. No additional details about the upcoming October 14 live episode have been revealed.

Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio - two of the original Jersey Boys of The Four Seasons - along with JERSEY BOYS: The Musical writers Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice have filed a law suit against six former JERSEY BOYS: The Musical performers, claiming that their tour, 'The Boys in Concert,' rips off of the Broadway musical in unauthorized ways. The New York Post reports today that 'The Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famer claims 'The Boys in Concert' steals songs, stage elements and copyrighted logos to dupe patrons into thinking it's an 'authorized road company' of the long-running Broadway musical.'

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of Andre Bishop (Artistic Director) and Bernard Gersten (Executive Producer), has announced that Stockard Channing, Stacy Keach, Linda Lavin and Elizabeth Marvel will be featured in the cast of its upcoming production of OTHER DESERT CITIES, a new play by Jon Robin Baitz, directed by Joe Mantello, beginning performances Thursday, December 16 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 W. 65 Street.) Opening night is Thursday, January 13 at 6:45pm.

Deadline.com exclusively reports this morning that Kate Winslet and Jodi Foster will star in the film adaptation of Yasmina Reza's Tony-winning play, God Of Carnage, to be directed by Roman Polanski. Inglorious Basterd's Christoph Waltz and Crash's Matt Dillion will play their spouses. Reza has adapted her original script for the screen alongside Polanski. Though the film is set in Brooklyn, New York, the 12-week filming will begin in Paris in February due to Polanski's legal troubles in the US.

Today, September 22, ADDAMS FAMILY star Nathan Lane appeared on the The View to promote his guest spot on Modern Family. Lane will play Pepper, the flamboyant friend of Mitchell (played by Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cameron (played by Eric Stonestreet) on the third episode of the season. To kickoff the first week of performances of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON and fittingly, the coming election season, producers of the show announce a partnership with ROCK THE VOTE organization in hopes to reach out and remind people to register to vote, especially as the midterm elections approach. As part of this partnership, on Friday, September 24th, volunteers from ROCK THE VOTE will be at the theatre at the beginning and at the end of the show with voter registration sign up sheets. There will be additional show days as well when volunteers will be there.
